In my mind, I'll truly be successful if...
I'm happy. This is the only criteria I need to fulfill to really be successful. Although being rich and having a nice job would be nice, I believe that happiness is the ultimate measure of success. This is because happiness is something that any person can have, despite economic or demographic location. Cars and money can make people happy, but so can friends and family. If I can look back on my life and confidently say that I am happy with it, then I'll know that I was truly successful. This will hold true if I don't reach any of my economic goals, because I know that I will have the greatest friends and families. The people around me make me happy, so if I were to select a specific goal I'd like to keep, it would be to never lose touch with these amazing people.
In order to acheive this success, it is absolutely paramount that I do not burn any of the bridges in any of my relationships. These relationships take work and sacrifice. And in order to maintain connections with these people I am committed to doing whatever it takes to stay friendly with these people. Even something as small as calling them and asking them how they are and letting them know that I am thankful for them in my life, can mean the world to someone.
